Amanda Rankin, Olympian and World Championship sprint kayaking medallist has joined the Queensland Canoeing Inc team as a Club Development Officer.

Qld Canoeing was one of many successful applicants to receive the Jobs Plan funding from the Department of Communities: Sport and Recreation, to provide a development officer to assist 7 QC affiliated clubs for the next 3 years.

As the Club Development Officer, Amanda will be assisting clubs in areas such as funding, sponsorship, membership growth, marketing and in any other way the clubs need assistance.

Amanda brings with her enthusiasm, many years of paddling experience and knowledge that will see the clubs she is working with benefit immensely. No matter what paddling discipline: flat water sprint, surf, ocean ski, outrigger, adventure racing, white water, she is happiest on the water with a paddle in hand.
